Becoming part of Frassati Catholic Academy is an unexpected and wonderful moment in my life. Over the past ten years or so I have thought a lot about teaching in a Catholic school. A lot of reasons for my interest revolved around the decision my wife Mary and I made to enroll our son Charlie in the Presentation of Mary Catholic School in Maplewood. Those preschool through middle school years convinced us that we had made the right decision. This experience strengthened my desire to be involved in Catholic education but I was not sure the opportunity would come my way. I am thankful that this wish has become true.

I am also grateful for the many years I spent teaching in the public school system. The challenges, friendships and memories I experienced helped shape me into the person I am today. My teaching and coaching career began in the White Bear Lake Area school system so it seems fitting that my last teaching position is taking place a few blocks away from where it began. The last twenty four years were spent at my alma mater North High (No. St. Paul) teaching Social Studies and coaching Boys Hockey, Tennis, and Football.

I live in Maplewood, MN with my wife Mary and our son Charlie. My main interest outside of teaching is music. I have been songwriting, recording, and performing music since my teen years. My family’s favorite vacation spot is the Wisconsin Dells. I met my wife in Kansas City, Kansas and have spent a lot of time there. It is like our second home town.

Frassati has felt like home since the moment I stepped in the door. I look forward to working with our students, families and staff and I thank you for allowing me to serve this community.
