I volunteer at Frassati and St. Mary’s because it is important for me to give back.  I get involved so that I can help make a difference in our school, church and greater White Bear Lake community.   This community has been a part of my entire life, from my own baptism to marriage as well as attending school here.   Volunteering is also fun!  It’s a great way for me to meet other families.

I have been volunteering in Catholic Schools for 10 years and have focused my work on marketing, retention, and social media.   I was honored to be asked to join the efforts of Catholic School Center for Excellence- CSCOE. This is a nonprofit organization with a simple two-part mission: to help Catholic elementary schools achieve and maintain excellence while increasing student enrollment. My involvement in this organization has strengthened my commitment to Catholic School Education. I am dedicated to providing more students the gift of education in a Christ-centered environment- which is an extension of home and the values we teach our children.

I have a goal to help our school become self-sustaining for years into the future. I believe strongly in the strength of our FCA community to do that and know that our biggest asset is our families with strong faith and values. I am excited to work with volunteers to create new and innovative ways to ‘Tell our Story.’

My husband, James and I have 4 children at Frassati Catholic Academy and have experienced that the product of Catholic Education works! It has provided academic excellence, a caring environment, a strong community and should be celebrated for instilling moral values that children will carry with them through their life.

It’s part of my mission, to provide a Catholic Education to our youth. I’m extremely excited about the STREAM program provided at Frassati Catholic Academy. I am an alumni of St. Mary of the Lake and loved having Mrs. Bennek, Mrs. Clauson and Mrs. Reibel as my teachers.

I have volunteered for many years and do so because I believe in the mission of Catholic education, and understand it takes a commitment from everyone to make it successful. I love that my children can live their faith while receiving an outstanding education. My wife Jaime and I have a fourth grader at Frassati, with two older children having previously graduated from Frassati and St. Pius X.

Growing up in a small town where Catholicism was at the epicenter of our community provided me with a solid life-long foundation in our faith and fueled a fire for fostering learning. As an architect, I have had a variety of opportunities to bring diverse learning environments to students of all ages, most notable are STEM programs, incorporating multi-layered mechanisms of experiencing the world around us. With enthusiasm and a passionate for Catholic education I have dedicated my time and talents to the treasure of our school for over a decade.   I enjoy building our faith-based community and being integral in carrying out the mission and vision of our school.   Beside my husband, I strive to ensure a solid faith based education not just for our children, but for all. I aspire to bring my history of experiences to a future of faith for many.

I am a Montana native and graduate of Montana State University.  I did not attend a Catholic school in my youth.  However, I was always fond of hearing the memories that my dad and uncles would share about their Catholic education, and I became drawn to know more about the opportunity for my own children.  My husband and I have a third grader, a seventh grader and an eighth grader.  Mark and I have cherished our children’s school experiences ever since our oldest child started in a Catholic preschool ten years ago.  We have been blessed with possibilty and community at Frassati Catholic Academy, and feel that our children are being well-prepared for their futures.

My life experiences have included volunteering in a rural fire department as an emergency medical technician, work for several years as a registered nurse in pediatric home care, appointment to the Commission of Deaf, Deaf/Blind and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans, and current employment as the office manager at my husband’s family restaurant business.  I consider myself to be an idea person, and I find great satisfaction in problem solving.  I have always enjoyed volunteering close to my children, so serving our school as a member of the School Advisory Council is truly an honor.

Raising my daughters (kindergarten and 6th grade) in a Catholic STREAM-based educational environment has allowed them to thrive in a safe, challenging, faith-based and family-oriented community.

I run my own marketing consulting, graphic and web design business and served on the Steering/Advancement Marketing Committee that created the new website and branding for Frassati after the school merger. I enjoy using my time and creative talents to serve my community, developing and creating new ideas and ways to improve things.

I live in White Bear Lake with my husband, Jonathan, and like to travel, spend time around and on White Bear Lake, run competitively, coach volleyball and swimming, read and encourage my kiddos in their activities.
