Jackie Virnig (School Counselor)
email: [email protected]
Education: I attended University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, then pursued my Masters of Science in PK-12 School Counseling at University of Wisconsin – River Falls.
Began Teaching: I started as a school counselor in August of 2013.
Began at Frassati: I started at Frassati in the Fall of 2018.
Roles at Frassati: I provide a variety of school- related counseling services for students, including short-term individual counseling, group skills counseling and classroom counseling lessons. I also am the Social-Emotional Learning Lead, providing professional development training sessions to all staff.
Favorite thing about Frassati: I genuinely enjoy helping students see their growth and realize their potential– personally, socially, mentally, spiritually, and academically. All praise and glory to God! When I get to see these things with my own eyes, it makes my heart burst with joy!
About me: I have counseling experience in both public and private schools, grades K-8. I live in Vadnais Heights with my husband and four children: my all-grown step-daughter, and 3 boys: one middle school, one intermediate and one early elementary. We also have 2 dogs and 1 cat to add to the chaos! I have been coaching high school volleyball since the Fall of 2000. Other than coaching and counseling, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends at home, up at the cabin, or somewhere watching football, hockey, baseball, soccer, or volleyball (youth or professional).
