A Structured Academic Program
Frassati Catholic Academy Preschool is a community of teachers and families, in which children are known and loved. Their experience is play-based, faith-filled and educates the whole child. We celebrate our Catholic faith while providing a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our program promotes social development, independence, and confidence through hands-on learning, meaningful play, and guided experiences.
Teachers design lessons and activities guided by the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress, focusing on:
- Art
- Language, literacy, and communication
- Mathematics
- Physical development and movement
- Scientific thinking
- Social and emotional development
Students are encouraged to ask questions, make connections, and explore ideas in age-appropriate ways. With guidance, they learn to listen respectfully, take turns during group activities, and grow in confidence.
These experiences lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Students are gently guided toward independence and positive participation in the classroom. In Preschool, students are supported in:

Catholic Intellectual Formation
Faith is joyfully woven into each day as students begin to know and love Jesus. Through daily prayer and age-appropriate experiences, children are introduced to the beauty of the Christian life.
Beginning at age three, students participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, a Montessori-based approach that invites children into a simple and profound relationship with God. In the Atrium, children encounter Scripture, parables, and the life of Jesus through hands-on materials and quiet reflection.
Students also attend Mass on special occasions and begin to develop an awareness of the sacred. They are introduced to prayer not only as words to learn, but as a way to speak with and listen to God.
Faith connects what students learn to how they live, forming hearts that are ready to love, serve, and grow.

The Frassati Standard
Frassati Catholic Academy Preschool nurtures the earliest foundations of learning and faith within a joyful, caring environment. Through play, routine, and guided experiences, students begin to grow as learners and members of a community.
