Catholic Schools
Frassati Catholic Academy builds its instruction on the principles of the Catholic faith. Catholic education prepares students for the day they will bring their gifts of faith and reason to the opportunities and challenges of our world.
Academic Excellence
Catholic schools embody a culture of academic rigor where students are given the tools and attention they need to excel.
- Small Classes: The average class size is 18 students and allows teachers to address the individual needs of each child.
- Committed and Caring Staff: Our teachers are highly skilled and dedicated to maintaining our tradition of academic rigor. Nearly 50% of teachers have earned a master’s degree or higher.
- Accredited Schools: All Catholic schools must undergo a rigorous accreditation process not required for public schools.
- Graduation Rates: 97% of Catholic high school students graduate and 97% of graduates go on to higher education.
- Test Scores: On the SAT 10 standardized test given to Catholic school 8th graders in 2012-13:
- 95% ranked average or higher in math problem-solving
- 94% ranked average or higher in science
- 93% ranked average or higher in reading comprehension
Forming Faith and Values
Our schools instruct students in Catholic teaching and support the efforts of parents to instill in their children the values of the Gospel. By choosing a Catholic school, parents can be confident knowing they are helping their child build a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.
- Catholic Values: Students are surrounded by people who share your beliefs and values.
- Catholic Identity: Students strengthen their Catholic identity through daily prayer, regular Mass, preparation for the Sacraments and other spiritual formation.
- Commitment to Service: From an early age, students are taught to live out their faith by helping others and working to better their community.
Co-Curricular Activities
Participation in the arts, extracurricular activities, and athletics enhance the learning experience and are available at all Catholic schools. While opportunities vary among schools, in general, students may choose to sign up for activities such as band, chess club, technology club and scouting. These activities enrich children, develop their character and allow them to celebrate their God-given talents.
Faith Community
Community is at the heart of Catholic education. The shared faith and commitment of Catholic school families foster a bond that enriches parents and students alike. The superior academic outcomes of our schools go hand in hand with the high expectations of a supportive faith community that is deeply invested in each child’s growth and development.
