K-5 Language Arts – Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Journeys – We will adopt the newer edition that places a greater emphasis on informational text.

6-8 Language Arts – Language & Literacy is published by Prentice Hall, this text will be used by our middle school students.  As a part of the literacy curriculum, the students will also read a number of novels during their middle school years.  “Voyages,” published by Loyola Press, will be the text used for language and grammar instruction.

K-4 Math – Math Expressions, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt – It was developed by one of the original authors of “Everyday Math.”

5-8 Math – The Holt McDougal, four course series will be used for these grades. Course One, Two and Three will be used in grades five through seven and the eighth grader will use the Algebra 1 course.

K-5 Science – We will be using Foss Science curriculum.  We anticipate changes in how we utilize this curriculum as we receive STEM training from the University of St. Catherine.  We also predict the selection of a new science curriculum in the next three to five years as the STREAM model for teaching takes form.

K-5 Social Studies – Houghton Mifflin is the publisher of our Social Studies series.  This curriculum has a theme for each grade level, so the name of the text changes each year.
