Jackie Virnig (School Counselor)

My name is Jackie Virnig and I am thrilled to be at Frassati Catholic Academy! Frassati knows that educating and caring for your child goes beyond academics, and therefore, has partnered with Phoenix School Counseling where Dr. Jules Nolan and myself, the in-house counselor, provide counseling and assessment services at school, as well as, presentations to school, business, and church groups. Dr. Nolan has been an invited speaker at local, state, national, and international conferences and provides trainings in a variety of school and mental health related topics for teachers, parents, and students.

I attended University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, then pursued my Masters of Science in K-12 School Counseling at University of Wisconsin – River Falls. I have counseling experience in both public and private schools, grades K-8. I genuinely enjoy helping students realize their potential– personally, socially, mentally, spiritually, and academically. I live in Vadnais Heights with my husband and four children: my high-school-aged step-daughter, one son in middle school, one son in elementary, and a third son in preschool to complete my crew. We also have 3 dogs to add to the chaos! I have been coaching high school volleyball since the Fall of 2000. Other than coaching and counseling, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends at our home, up at the cabin, or grilling in someone’s backyard!

I provide a variety of counseling services, including short-term individual counseling, group counseling and classroom Counseling lessons. I am at Frassati Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday afternoons. I look forward to another great school year!
